Mar 7

Things are still going pretty well in Cali. My companion has a lot of stuff he is dealing with so that means I have a lot of stuff I am dealing with so I have been kinda tired lately. That sounds like a great birthday present. Interesting foods on my mission? I've had balut, chicken feet, and quail eggs but that is about it you don't get very many different foods on a state side mission. Jake emailed me and told me all about his mission papers which is awesome. Remember that my Mission President says I can Skype home when he gets his mission call so keep me in the loop. My new shoes are working out great. We still play a lot of basketball but I have never heard of "nerd guns" we do occasionally play with nerf guns.

Leap Day

Hey things are going great here we had a double baptism last Saturday. I don't have pictures yet because the family hasn't sent them to me but I will send some pictures of that next week. Right now I am double covering so I am in both Wheatland and Olivehurst with Elder Nunley. He is a good guy, haven't wanted to strangle yet. That's crazy that Aaron is going on a mission, time just feels like it's going by so fast like the fact that I only have 9 months left which shocks me on a daily basis. Me and my companion so from reason have gotten a lot of referrals which hardly ever happens for missionaries so we are really excited about those. So I FINALLY got my card to work it was a frustrating and difficult process but it is activated and working so DON'T send another one because then I will have to deal with that one as well.

Valentines Day

Things have gotten kinda crazy down here so I am being transferred again! which has got to be a record for transfers in such a short time. I don't know where I am going quite yet but will let you know next week. A debit would be nice right now because I need to fix some stuff on my bike and I might get put in a bike area. kinda sucks that I am leaving because there were two people who I have found who are getting baptized on the 27 and I am barely going to miss it. That's crazy that aaron is going on his mission. Tell everyone in Texas that I say hi. I don't know what else to say and I am super tired and have to pack so I'll talk to you later.

Feb 1

Things are still going along as usual here. I am still in Yuba City
Stake covering both Olivehurst and Wheatland. If you want to know
where these places are I think you can find mission maps on lds.org.
My companion is Elder Nunley, he's a cool guy we get along. That's
awesome that Aaron got his mission call, I hear that that mission has
one of the highest baptism rates. Oh, I had interviews with President
recently and he said that when Jake gets his mission call that I can
Skype him and talk to him about it so keep that in mind and keep me
updated for that. We got a new investigator who is super solid but the
biggest obstacle I think they will have is the Word of Wisdom. That's
all that is new with me.

Baptism

he baptism went off with only a few hitches. Elder Fife was baptizing her and she kept floating on top of the water so he had to push her down so she would be fully immersed. She talks a lot too so it was funny when a member was giving a talk and she kept trying to interject with her own thoughts.  Besides that the week has been pretty much ordinary. We have an old lady investigator in Wheatland who is obsessed with my dimple. She says something about it every time we see her. The. We have another investigator that is convinced that everything she thinks is from the Holy Ghost. She will hand us some candy and say "The Holy Spirit told me that you wanted this" and she is completely serious about it. It's kinda weird. Not much else is going on here.

Jan 11

Still doing good here in Cali. Not much has changed but our investigator is getting baptized this week. Those pictures make me feel so old I didn't even recognize Matthew or Conner. That's good that Aaron is putting in his papers. I'm so jealous that you get to go to Texas, land of the free and home of the brave. I've realized that missionary work is really boring most of the time and very repetitive so it's hard to come up with things to put in my emails. I don't know if Jake shared with you the photos I put in my shared album. So I'll attach them in this email.

Jan 4

Hey, things are pretty much the same since I talked to you guys on
Christmas. I have gotten all of the packages that were sent to me for
Christmas. Elder Fife is getting transferred so me and Nunley are
staying together and now we are double covering wards. We have the two
biggest areas on the mission so I wonder how that will work. My
trainer is now back in my zone training another greenie so that will
be awesome. We have an investigator that is getting baptized on the
15th so be ready for that. How is it going back home? Is Jake ready to
graduate? Other questions.
